The Camera

  1. The first permanent photograph was Joseph Nicephore.
  2. Daguerreotypes are images fixed directly to a heavily polished sheet of silver plated copper.
  3. Landscape photography.
  4. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO.
  5. Evaluative Metering, Center-weighted, Metering Spot Metering.
  6. When the objects are with different light levels and intensities.
  7. Back lit subjects or the moon.
  8. Program, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, Manual.
  9. In shutter priority it automatically picks the right aperture for you while aperture automatically picks the right shutter speed.
  10. Manual focus you set the focus yourself and can be more inaccurate while auto focus is easier and faster and more accurate.
  11. I think that auto focus is better because it is faster and more accurate and manual you can make more mistakes.
  12. Places with less ideal light like churches.
  13. When the light is decreasing and need a artificial light source.
  14. To help have better control when taking a video.
  15. It's a creative technique that works with a stationary subject.
  16. 50% close ups and extreme close-ups, 25% medium shots, and 25% wide shots.
  17. Shows the luminance on the x axis and the Y axis indicates the relative quantity of light for the given luminance.
  18. Underexposed or high contrast.
  19. Overexposed.
  20. The camera’s digital sensor is much more limited than the human eye in its ability to gather information from a scene that contains very bright and very dark areas, a scene with a broad dynamic range.

first day photos

I liked this photo because it's a funny photo. the photo has weird lighting because this was the first photo I took as we were leaving the class and a little out of focus. I liked this because it looks like he is in the center of the picture and the room. the photo is not the best photo but it is also not the worst because of the auto-focus part of his face is in focus and the other half isn't.
the reason I like this is because it it the only thing in focus so it brings the eyes towards it. I also like the contrast between the bright colors against the darker shrubs in the background. I didn't like the red overhang in the background it eliminates some of the color of the flower. other than the red overhang I think it's a pretty good photo to start out with.
